the belly is cast

while out hunting and gathering links and resources for my granola family out there i came across this article and instructional for belly casting. it's becoming increasingly popular for pregnant women to have a plaster cast made of their beautiful bellies to commemorate the birth process.

i had a belly casting done by the lovely sister of my granola papa. her name is zo and she was kind enough to make me into a piece of art when i was less than 2 weeks from my due date! it was a truly unique and wonderful experience, if you're pregnant or the loving friend or partner of a mama-to-be, have some fun and do a belly casting.
